You are right,. iTunes now 'ignores' Microsoft Outlook and will not sync data without convoluted and unnecessary actions that I see so many exasperated people have resorted to. Most of us don't have the time to go to those extremes though and such steps should be entirely unnecessary to resolve a problem with an IOS that originally came with the functionality. 'Cleverly' Apple has broken the vital core functionality that all PC users rely upon to make their [expensive] 'phone' a Smartphone.
I don't know about you, but I rely upon syncing my diary, contacts and calendar several times a day and now my iPhone is just a phone, with th core apps no longer working.
Steve Jobs was the visionary of the company and when he died so did Apple, they just don't seem to realise it yet. With every 'new' release since he passed on, its now bugs, problems and breakages of existing functionality, certainly to a much higher level than on his watch. These new problems at Apple are not why I purchased our iPad's and iPhones and Apple is on this occasion being particularly slack in fixing a self-inflicted problem for the best part of its user base.
One would think, reasonably, that as it is clearly their own product that is broken, Apple would quickly announce it and say when the fix is out rather than us having to 'wait' interminably for one.
Hello ....Apple, [it is evident you don't care but] have you ever heard of beta testing before release as clearly you did not do it on this occasion and your premium prices devices are little better than expensive doorstops.
