Latest iOS 8.1.3 battery life

Just updated to the latest iOS on my iPad2. Battery life has dropped considerably per hour. What use to be approx. 6 to10% now has jumped up to almost 20%/hr.

i have gone through Controls to eliminate power to apps. Anyone experiencing the same?

I just upgraded--wish I had not.

My iPad 2 is slower than my 8 year old laptop. It crashes at times with the screen going blank--and the screen freezing for over 5 minutes. Also, as you have experienced as well, faster battery drainage.

I can't even upgrade my iPhone 5--due to some seemingly memory issues which I never experienced in the past. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise given the terrible iOS8 release. Loving some of the features though but comes at an enormous expense of basic functionality. Due to having different iOS's install on my devices, I'm being told my iCloud won't work?

I am currently running iOS 8.2 on the iPhone 5s and to be honest I did not think I would get any battery life improvement however I feel like I actually did and it might be significant even though it's not listed as a fix. I took a screenshot to show you some info. By the way, I always charge my phone using my laptop.

(By now I should have been at 50% because I always got around 6 hours of "Usage".)

EDIT: Now at 4 hours and 42 minutes of usage: Battery is at 47%. (12 hours and 34 minutes standby)
