iPhone 5c storage glitch

Hello guys!

I really need your help since I got the ultimate glitch on my iphone 5c.

I have absolutely no images on my phone and I don't even have my icloud account activated on the phone because I don't use is, but still it shows I have about 163Mb on the photos gallery (43 photos and 2 videos)...

The other problem is that every single day when i check my storage, 100Mb magically has gone from my phone, without installying any kind of apps or transfering files...

I already made a factory reset because I bought my phone on saturday and on tuesday I went from 3.7Gb to 2.8Gb, but the issue continues...

I really need help since my phone is the 8Gb version and i can't afford to have 100Mb gone every single day.

my cite is that this solution works for me when my iPhone, and my spouse's iPhone, says "storage is almost full" even though there should be 75% of the 64 GB free. it happens every few weeks. it works for us. i don't have a cite, sorry. we stream a lot of music via itunes match, and i believe these songs are filling up a hidden cache on the iPhone which slowly eats away at your storage. You eventually get storage almost full messages. To add insult to injury, these songs are not available in the music application because according to the application they have never been downloaded. So you've paid for the songs over data (LTE) to stream them, and they are taking up storage on your phone, but your phone is telling you that they aren't there. The only way to get rid of the ghost storage that's taking up your device, is to turn off iTunes match or to sign out of the apple store in settings, and wait a number of minutes. Then your storage will drop down many gigabytes to what it really should have been all along.

I have a very similar issue on iPhone 5C with 8GB memory capacity. The storage feature in settings is telling me I have zero memory available and the initial 5GBs are all used up. I counted all the apps and I have a total of 1.2GB installed. I have no movies, no music and only a handful of photos so this doesn't make any sense at all. I can't believe that Apple doesn't provide a clear cut fix for this. As it stands I can't even update the apps I have because "there is not enough memory"! This is getting really annoying and I would appreciate if anyone has a clear cut answer before I decide to switch to android. I never connected to iTunes with this phone and I'd rather not do that.

Yes, and I see that what's up is using almost 300MG but I specifically deleted any voice msg, video, photos and recovered about 70MG and it shows under storage but then a couple hours later it shows zero memory even though I barely used the phone at all! Is there something else about whatsup that I should know?

Yes, there was a glitch in the last version that caused it to fill up all of your available storage. Check with the WhatsApp support site and make sure you have the latest version. If you do not update and it may resolve your problem. If it doesn't you will need to go on to Restore from your backup.

Thanks. I just updated to latest version of whatsup and turned phone on and off but the only change was to give me about 10MB more so I have about 30MB "free". Got it on restore, unfortunately I won't have access to wifi till Monday so I can't backup data. My last back up is from August 2015. By the way can you restore without connecting up to a computer?

OK, that's understood. By the way there is another similar thread for iPhone 6 with the exact same problem coming from whatsup, several people solved it by removing whatsup, rebooting the phone and then reinstalling the app. I tried this fix as well but didn't work. I wonder if there is another app that is causing a simikar memory drain?
