Is bug with Web App status bar in iOS 8 fixed in 8.3 beta1?
When a webpage is pinned to the homescreen in order to use the native-styled fullscreen web-app, there is an issue with the top status bar. When the "app" is launched from home screen in portrait mode, everything is working as intended: on top of the fullscreen web-app there is the status bar with white text on black background (showing battery and conectivity status).
But when the "app" is launched from the home screen when the iPad is oriented in landscape mode, the status bar is not displayed correctly. There is a black bar (gap) on the bottom of the page! Changing orientation while the app is opened doesn't help.
I have reproduced it on the following versions:
iOS 8.0.0
iOS 8.1.1
iOS 8.1.2
iOS 8.1.3
with both iPad Air and iPad Mini.
A while back, I found this thread in the "using ipad"-forums were 49 people have reported the same issue: iOS8 Bug with Web Apps on iPad
Here is a thread on Stack Overflow were people are experiencing the same problem: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/25884806/ios-8-web-app-status-bar-position-an d-resizing-problems
Someone in that SO-thread wrote "Apple fixed this bug in iOS 8.3 beta 1" is this something anyone here can confirm?
