Time capsule setup in hotel??

Evening all, i hope you tech experts can help....

I currently am living in a hotel for 6-12months in Shanghai and bought a TC as i wanted to start backing up my Macbook Pro which it now works a treat but i am really struggling to connect the TC to the hotel wifi. When connecting to the wifi via the MBPro, iPhone, iPad etc you are require to add a username and password which i have and the same if i use the wired connection in the room. I have plugged the wired connection directly into the TC however it does not allow the TC to generate a wifi signal for all my apple products to connect too.

Is there a way i can do it? I think i may have read something about creating the connection via a bridge connection and extending the wifi from there but i may be talking rubbish. Your help will be greatly appreciated as i still have unto 10 months to go haha.

thank you all in advance. Scott

Ok before i do this i have tried to connect phones etc to the TC in its current state and all appears to date to be working so i assume you advise not to do any more or is this step vital? I was looking at the TC backup and it is asking me now to select a different data file? Can i not still use the same file and just update it or do i need to start the backup again to create the new file and after time it will just delete the old one?

If you can connect all of your other devices with the Time Capsule set up "as is", then you are extremely lucky....and hotel network is not limiting the number of connections to your room, as most hotels will do.

So, you may be done if all is well.

Time Machine will do what Time Machine will do. Try to get backups going again. With luck, the Mac will continue with the same backup that it was using before. Otherwise, Time Machine will start a new backup and move forward from there.

If this is the case, you can still access your old backups by right-clicking on the Time Machine icon on the dock and selecting Browse Other Time Machine Disks
