Hi, When I run the boot camp setup everything seems to go fine and I am asked to restart. Upon restart I get a blue screen of death, then startup repair and windows then reloads with none of the drivers I just installed. Any thoughts on how to fix this? So far I have formatted and installed windows twice using boot camp assistant with the same result.
mid 2011 imac 27", Windows 7 64 bit, Mavericks and I'm using BootCamp5.1.5621 on usb stick.
Do you have any third-party NTFS software?
I have Paragon NTFS loaded but the trial has expired.
Please remove it. It interferes with Bootcamp (despite claims to the contrary by the vendor). Apple does not allow any driver other than its own NTFS driver to present BC in Startup Disk. It also causes problems on Yosemite, since Yosemite now implements a check on the NTFS files system. You can see such messages in Console logs on Yosemite.
Removed Paragon NTFS, booted to windows and it is still doing the same thing> blue screen then startup repair and then cycles all over again. Should I remove boot camp again and reinstall. Perhaps the paragon had corrupted something well windows was installing?
Backup your Windows files to an external disk, if possible.
Use Bootcamp Assistant only to remove Windows, and then use BCA to re-install Windows.
Tried that, everything installed fine, boot camp drivers and software install went fine. Restarted a bunch of times fine. Then after booting back to osx and then back to windows I got the blue screen again! Any other ideas? I'm about ready to call it a day and pay vmware their license fee.
Is it possible to take a screen shot of the BSOD and post it here?
I have had this screen consistently since upgrading to yosemite, then after reverting back to mavericks and all three times that I have remove windows with boot camp assistance and reinstalled.
Do you have BC drivers installed? Disconnect all external peripherals and try to bring up Windows.

Boot Camp drivers will not load at all.
