Why two Boot HD in EFI
When I boot and hold down option, I get two HDs to select from. Both are titled the same and both boot me to my OS. Is there a way to fix this?

Setup Assistant is safer than Migration Assistant
Try with a new clean install, nothing but Apple updates.
And post output of Etrecheck first
It sounds like you may have done a full-system restore from a backup of another machine, which Apple doesn't recommend. If that's so, reinstall the OS.
The old machine did this too, but I'm just now being concerned about it. I'm just looking to sharpen up the rough edges of my computer. I used migration assistant yes. When I got the computer, it didn't have the problem. After the migration it did. The other computer, which is a newer MacBook Pro, had the issue before. Then I wiped it and did a clean install, and it no longer has the issue. So it is something in the backup. I do not believe it has anything to do with hardware.
Agreed? Thoughts?
