iTunes match and iTunes radio skips songs on wifi

iTunes match and iTunes radio have been skipping songs while on wifi. We have a Linksys EA6350 setup in WPA2 personal for both the 2.5 ghz and 5 ghz networks. Both are setup as mixed 802.11n/ac with both on a channel width of AUTO. We are using two Apple TV's, iPhone 5s and a iPad 2. One of the apple TV's is setup as a different iTunes account than the others. It skips songs on all devices and accounts, however when I turn the wifi off on my iPhone both iTunes match and iTunes radio work flawlessly. What should I do?

I take my ipad mini to play pool every Wednesday at a friends office and I play itunes radio through a stereo. This skipping of songs was first noticed on April 1, in the evening. I was using wifi. Also, songs began cutting out. Switched to LTE, and things appeared to straighten out.

Last night, April 8, the same skipping occurred but even worse. Switched from wifi to LTE, and it did not help. It would skip like twenty songs then play a song that we had already listened to.

I do not believe it has anything to do with DNS servers. I believe there is a problem with Apple's service.

My buddies wifi was AT&T dsl. My LTE is Verizon. Therefore, I do not think it has to do with Cox or DNS.

April 9, evening, things are working well again.

This is happening to me also, but not just on wifi on data also. I am trying to play music and it just skips them. Also songs from my playlist that I have played hundreds of times.

Glad to see its not just me. I am on VZW for home wifi, and AT&T for data using I phone 4 with iOS 7, this also happening at my work Wifi, not sure who it is, but also data at work. Very frustrating, I looks like they will play the song, then it just skips over them. It did it to a whole album, 10 songs, played 1. I woudl call apple but do not have apple care or anything.,

Count me among the many frustrated users of itunes match on my ipad with wifi (in my case optimum). Like others I do not believe the issue has anything to do with DNS and that the solution rests with Apple. I've done all the suggestions outlined in this post and many others on the web and still the issue is unresolved. In my case, if I do not manually stop the skipping of songs eventually the ipad goes berserk and reboots itself. Aaaarrggghhh!!!
