rMBP Iris 6100 Gpu - 2x UHD(3840x2160)/@60Hz?

MacBook Pro Retina((12,1) 2015(13") with Intel Iris-6100 graphics.

Released March 2015.

Is this laptop capable of running two separate UHD(3840x2160)/60Hz monitors off the two TB-2 ports? In addition to the native Retina screen. - The specifications are not clear. And what about true-4k(4096x2160)/60Hz? Can that be run from the same ports (not HDMI)?

built in display is always working, i get view on the external 1st monitor 4K 60z, but on the second external monitor which is as well 4k, i cannot get view. i use mini dp to mini dp cable from thunderbolt port of mac to monitor. do you think it will make a difference if i use mini dp to regular dp cable? so that i can get 2 views?

Dear NVCM, MRCUR,

I can not drive my second Dell UP2414Q 4K display at 60 Hz, I use mini dp to mini dp cables for connection on both of the external monitors. Also Even though i can drive 1 external monitor at 4K 60Hz, there is still a lag that you feel while using it. For instance when i use my 21" iMac as external monitor. It feels much more speedy, is there a way to correct this?

I received my Dell P2415Q monitors and confirm my 2015 13" MBP is able to drive both monitors at 4k and 60Hz. I currently have both monitors plugged directly into my MBP's MiniDP/Thunderbolt ports. This is using the standard, non MST function. I tried daisy chaining the second monitor using the display port cable and MST but so far no luck. My only interest in daisy chaining is so I could use a standard Thunderbolt dock connected to my computer.

Anyone know if it is possible to daily chain the second monitor with MST?

Dear NVCM, i can not drive my dell up2414q monitor with my rmbp 13" early 2015 at 60 hz though i have enabled display port 1.2. I use mini dp to mini dp connection. do you use the same cabling or you use mini dp to dp type? i have read that mini dp port on the monitor does not support 60 hz. is you use mini dp to dp cable, please tell me which brand is it? when i use the one which came with the dell monitor, my mac freezes and starts acting weirdly

Hello,

This is exactly what I am trying to find out. I currently have a Dell 27" UltraSharp 2k monitor connected to the Early 2015 13" rMBP and an old Asus 1080p. Unfortunately, I have them connected to the laptop each through their own miniDP port on the computer.

What I would like to know is: If I purchase a Dell 27" 4k monitor, can I daisy chain the 2k and 4k to free up the other port? Or will I have to have them both plugged directly in to the computer to get them to both run as independent (not mirrored) desktop space, and doing so at 60Hz?

I usually don't use the internal display since I have it sitting in a vertical Henge Dock.
