Apple ID status code error/ wifi: time out

Not sure about your second issue, but the status_code_error appears to be affecting people all over the world trying to purchase or update from both App Store and iTunes. No indication of an explanation, but here is the thread where all the comments have been posted. Hopefully a proper explanation will be forthcoming soon.

I have been experiencing this problem too.

Try force quitting and reopening the program, as it worked mine.

Plainly some servers are down; bits of the iTunes Store are showing for me but other sections aren't, and I can't log into my account. It's not unkown for this sort of thing to happen - it's probably just a question of waiting until they sort it out.

same here, just setting up my shiny new mac and got stuck with iMovie.

I oddly did have same error pop up on previous download but tried again and it succeeded , so guess its a wider intermittent issue than just iMovie.

time for coffee and see if it gets fixed.

Has happened to me since the latest Security Update 2015 - 002?

Since, yes, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's related. It's just the same on my Snow Leopard Mac which hasn't been updated in any way recently.

I encountered the problem before I installed the security update, and thought not having installed it may be causing the problem; however it has persisted after that update was installed, so that is probably not the cause. Still no apparent word from Apple on to matter, but hopefull it is just a temporary glitch as has been suggested elsewhere in this thread.

I got his message three times and was about to close the App Store application when it informed me that my computer was about to restart. So to seems that in spite of apparently not being able to log in the download happened and the security update was installed.

The iMovie update that was supposed to happen at the same time did not work however. Maybe it's just an overload caused by many many people downloading the security update.

Just looked again and the iMovie update is downloading, if a little slowly.

Read the last post and tried the iMovie update again. Asked for password this time (it did not previously) but then came up with status_code_error once again. Perhaps this is just connected with high traffic. Certainly Apple are not saying anything as you can see from this feature on the Indy website (UK):

hi, i do got the same problem for my mac, i cant sign in to apple store again "status code error" message was shown.

besides that, i cant use find app on app store, it shows message;

"Your request produced an error. "

"[newNullResponse]"

every time i tried to use search function on mac store.

last, i cant sign in with my itunes as well..

omg, i think all problems caused after the last update 😟

Same issue for me.....also it won't allow me to contact Apple Support...guessing they're having a bad day! :s

i am in macau and i also has this issue, i want to know if it fixed or not

The same problem occurs with my macbook air. Yosemite 10.10.2.

Also I am unable to purchase from the apps store . The same error is being displayed and logging the Apple ID.
