Same error in Belgium since yesterday. Valid for Mac App Store AND iTunes App Store ...

Here in California all seems to be working again.

i fix it by doing this

• click on finder then press command-shift-g and paste in /etc/
• find a file call host and open it with textedit and paste in this

You just have to logout and re-login in App Store.

After I logged back in, the two apps that were reporting as needing an update were already updated. Hmm...
