Same problem here: Safari completely non-functional on my iPhone 6 after updating to iOS 8.2, refusing to load any web-pages. Instead, it appears get stuck while trying to load web-pages, and sometimes the app seems to crash after a period of nothing happening. Very occasionally (maybe one attempt in fifty, or one attempt in a hundred) it will load a single web-page successfully before immediately returning to the usual behaviour of not any loading pages.
I think I've tried all the suggested methods to fix the problem e.g.
- Turning JavaScript off and on;
- Turning off iCloud Keychain, turning off iCloud Safari sync and deleting web history
- Resetting network settings
- Erasing the phone and restoring from iCloud backup
- Erasing the phone, reinstalling firmware from iTunes and restoring from iTunes backup.
Nothing resolves it - Safari always remains broken on the iPhone. I don't see any such issue on my iPad, where Safari works fine after the upgrade to iOS 8.2
For information, during this process of trying to get Safari working, it's noticeable that trying to turn off iCloud Keychain doesn't always work - that is, it automatically re-enables itself the moment the switch is toggled to off.
Google Chrome works fine, which means there is at least some kind of workaround possible. However, It's a shame that Apple's QA process didn't identify this problem before iOS 8.2 was released - not being able to use Safari is a pretty serious issue. Still, they're only human, and anyone can screw up - what counts now is the speed with which they're able to resolve the problem.
