Beats solo 2-OTHER
This happened to mine. Unable to get an appointment at the Genius bar at my local store, I called Apple care. They send out a box for me to shop the product back to apple. Received a replacement less than a week later. Can't vaulter the service
Yeah ive been having the same problem. Im currently on a replacment pair of beats solo 2 which apple replaced in nov 16 becuase my old headphone were having the some problem. I bought them in dec 15. Does this mean that these headphones are still technially under warranty? Also can I get a refund as I have relised how much ive been ripped off and that I can get headphones that work at a significantly cheaper price from other brands (sony, senhizer, skull candy) because this is my second pair and the fault still hasent been fixed?
I have this problem with my headphone (solo2 wireless) all the time.
It appears when i connect solo2 to my speaker and use it like that a few hours it loses balance with right and left speakers.
How i fix this:
1- When you connect to a device with bluetooth confirm that right or left speaker volume level is not what it should be.
2- Instant power off solo2
3- Connect it with cord to directly a Mac/iPhone etc.
4- Start playing some sound.
5- Remove the cord from solo2 while you hearing the sound.
6- Connect via bluetooth
Now you should be able to hear sound without balance problems.
This problem is very frustrating and it happens all the time when i use my solo2 with wire and on my windows computer.
Greetings Chriss_123,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you are having some issues with the sound from one speaker in your Beats Solo 2 headphones. For support for your Beats, please use the attached link to communicate with Beats consumer and product support.
Cheers,
Joe
The main issue with the new Solo 2.s is that the wire is glued into place and over time the wire losses contact with the speaker. This is what causes the issue with the beats no working properly. JoesGE usually charges $45 for this fix. Let me know if I could help you any more.

Hello Chris,
Have you tried to switch the cords that connect the headphone and the device of sounding source?
Originally, I had this problem with my over the ear headphones. I had to go to:
System Preferences --> Sound --> Headphones and then make sure that my balance was set in the middle. Now, I am having the same trouble with my in ear Beats.
For me, slightly loosening the left headphone jack got the right speaker working. You may have to fidget with it, rotating the left headphone jack a little bit this way and that. 🙂
I'm having this problem too! Seems like Solo Beats have a generic fault 😟 mine have been barely used. What a rip
if they are under warranty return them
You can google JoesGE and their weblink will show up!
cord wouldnt fix the issue
It would be an internal wire issue. Very common with the Solo2 headphones.
so funny, I cant believe it was that. Thanks 😀
This is a huge issue with Solo2 wired and wireless. Most wired can be fixed, wireless ones are harder to get repaired.
