Had contacted Apple tech support a few weeks back regarding this. Had good level of response from folks right up until the problem was elevated to the "engineer" level. Everything dried up, with the tech support folks saying that there is no response from engineering. This has got to be nothing more than a single line of code in the Apple TV IMovie theater app. What else could it be? Sigh.

Heard back from "Engineering" via tech support. They acknowledge that the Apple TV does indeed have a built-in 50 title limitation. Still, it is curious as to exactly why this was done. The same app on the iphone, for example, does not have this limitation built in. Apple should fix this in future iterations of the Apple TV iMovie theatre app.

Hey Guys !!

I finally found the solution that worked for me . I had a an old vid that was hidden (invisible, probably corrupted) on iMovie on my iPhone, I dont know why !!! but when I tapped (completely by chance) on the black area where this old film was located, this old film couldn't be played.. I think the file was corrupted.. 😕 . So I deleted it completely and then my iMovie Theater started to work on Apple TV 4 🙂🙂🙂 This old movie must have been there after a update or so..and remain hidden .. and it was blocking all iMovie theater on Apple TV...

so check your imovie app on your iPhone and tap on black areas just besides your visible movies ans maybe you will find a hidden movie still there.. and delete it !!!
