iOS 8.2 and Airplay doesn't work

iOS 8.1 never had any issues with Airplay. I connect to a Airport Express (2nd Gen-7.6.4) that had the mini jack (2.5mm) that I run to my mixer to play break and intermission music at gigs. Now it doesn't work at all since updating to iOS 8.2 which BTW, was suppose to fix intermittent issues with Airplay which I never had under 8.1. What is going on with Apple QC?

For those of you who aren't having issues with Airplay in it's IDLE state, try launching a non-apple developed music app. I use a music app called LouderLogic, which seizes control of the iPad speaker. When this happens, it breaks Airplay. You might say, "then its the app", but Ive been using this app for over a year and it only started breaking Airplay after 8.2. Apple has definately changed the way that Airplay is called. Apple, like Microsoft has a large development team and when they release new updates, they force the smaller app developers to rewrite their code. I'm on a beta test team for a lyrics apps called OnSong. Their released version didn't have any issues with Airplay on 8.2, however, their beta version broke Airplay. After nofitying the developer, he identified the issue and fixed it before releasing to Apple. So is Apple making a statement that you can only use Airplay with only their own music apps? Is it that Airplay in iOS 8.2 can't be shared with other non-Apple apps. When I did the "hard reset", Airplay connection to my Airport Express would stay solid until I launched my music app. Since it wasn't a problem, before 8.2, who's going to take ownership of this issue? Keep in mind that Airplay's connection to AppleTV has never been in question. That connection seems solid.

Apple definitively has a problem here.

I recently upgraded my IOS from 8.1 to 8.4 and airplay to play music is a fiasco. It connects but after a couple of songs it disconnects. I am using the same wireless set up from my computer without any problems. Since I use this feature quite a lot I wanted to make sure, I downgraded my IOS back to 8.1 (I always archive a backup before an upgrade) and the problem is resolved again. It works fine with 8.1 (though not perfect as some times it does not see the device to connect, but once it does, it STAYS connected, vs with 8.4 where after a song or 15 mins it reliably disconnects).

Apple please fix this.

My set up is a Yamaha Receiver connected via ethernet to a NetGear router. Both MacBook Pro and Iphone connected wireless. (Yes even without the apple devices, 8.1 works fine... 8.4 does NOT), could be the music app, or just the IOS dont know but since they come together to me its the same I have to keep my iphone on 8.1 until apple recognizes they have a problem here.
