Music and Videos keep getting deleted, yet I can't delete purchased music

For the past 3 days I've been battling with iTunes. For some reason my music keeps getting deleted off of my phone now. When it does, only the ones on my music list that were purchased stay and for some reason I can't delete THOSE. They stick and stay. I don't know why itunes is suddenly making me keep my purchased music without the ability to delete and I can't keep my music. I've re input my music twice and they still keep getting deleted. Videos too. Here are my problems.

1. For some reason, ALL the videos and music I had on my iphone keep getting deleted. They still show up on my itunes list though, just not on my phone. It's so weird. All the music is still RIGHT THERE on my itunes on my PC when I look but they disappear on my iphone completely so I have to keep putting the music back on.

2. The Artwork that I put manually into the songs doesn't show up. I mean when I actually play the song it shows up when it plays but when you exit back from that screen it doesn't show. It just shows a blank gray box. And the box next to the artist's name is not any artwork. It just says the artist's name diagonally from left to right upwards like there's no artwork. Some of the artwork doesn't appear no matter how many times I insert it manually.

3. Purchased music I CANNOT delete. iTunes doesn't even give me the option anymore. So for some reason, even if I delete everything left on the itunes that shows up there but not on my phone, it won't allow me to delete what's purchased on my iphone. I want to get rid of some of it.

I've tried unsynching on my itunes and still it doesn't help and the artwork still doesn't show up. The ability to delete still doesn't show for purchased items. This is weird it's like since the latest update to itunes maybe this started happening. That's the soonest I think I can notice when.

I run Windows 8.1

iTunes 12.1

iOS 8.2

Help please!

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.2

Hi, I contacted support in Germany. The call was free since I updated to a new iOS version. Support in Germany is not aware of the issue! They asked me to sent in log and crash information for the developers. As soon as I get a reply I will post the results. ?

By the way, did you see this? http://www.digitaltrends.com/music/apple-deleted-non-itunes-music-off-ipods-for- two-years-answers-for-it-in-court/

I doubt that it is directly connected and that Apple did delete the music directly off of certain iPads on purpose. But it is not unlikely that a certain code piece got activated by mistake.

Actually iTunes did not only delete my music, but also my videos!

Man that's terrible. I wouldn't call germany though. No point lol. How do I send a crash log? My itunes didn't crash. Neither did my iOS. It just deleted my music and my videos. ALL OF IT. I was still able to use my iphone just fine so I don't know. I think there is either a legitimate problem with syncing that apple didn't know about or they're really trying to get us consumers to buy music a second time, but through them. That's so wrong and I hate to say it but it sounds plausible. That's just me as a consumer who takes ALL of his investments VERY seriously.

I sent the logs almost 10 days ago, but haven't heard back, yet. The crash logs are from the iPad. My iTunes didn't crash, but it still deletes copied music and videos. I was able to copy a few songs and videos and again and then after a couples of copies iTunes deleted all own music and songs off my iPad again. The cause can't be a specific song or video, because after everything got deleted I was able to copy the same songs that triggered the deletion again without a problem.

So, in case people are still having this problem...I had the same thing happen to me after updating to the then newest version of iTunes for the iPhone. I managed to get help on chat with someone at Apple and it helped to fix the problem for me.

I have a large amount of music, so I always preferred manual to synching. What the tech guy had me do was create an iPhone playist on my iTunes and have the iPhone auto synch to that. You can still control what's there by adding deleting from the playlist.

I actually still would rather manually synch, but after having my library wiped out twice, I switched to this, and it's worked so far.

The Problem is that this Major bug not only affects music, it also deletes videos and books. I tried to wipe off the iPad of all music. Even I delted everything the iPad still showed a handful of songs that could not be deleted. I was able to copy most of the music back, but now some artwork and album summaries are messed up. In the process of this all videos got deleted again in front of my eyes!! Yesterday I tried to open a pdf that I had in the iBooks app. The result was that all the books in the ibooks app were deleted!!

If this is not the first iOS virus Apple has some more than just a few problems. my iPad is pretty much rendered useless.

My last update was a few weeks ago, version 8.4, and I just found my loaded video's and music missing. This is absolutely ridiculous!!!!! Had I known about these issues I would not have bought an IPod!. I HAD over 700 songs and 6 movies, all now gone except the songs which I bought. My IPod says it has zero songs loaded on it, but the purchased songs still play. It was a huge time investment to load all those. I now feel like, "why bother loading anything", after all it will just disappear. I don't plan on purchasing anymore songs since they may end up missing too.

Too bad for you Apple! You guys suck! Everything was fine until the last update.😠😠😠

Update! I bought a Scala Rider head set for my motorcycle helmet and synced it to my IPod. I listened to a total of 2 songs while wearing my helmet inside the house and playing with the Scala Rider. I worked great! An hour later I hopped on my motorcycle to run an errand and low and behold, even the songs I bought have now disappeared! MY IPOD IS USELESS NOW!!!!!!!!!

And no help from anyone here at Apples secure web site! Thanks for the tech support people!

Moral of the story is, don't buy an Apple products ever again! What a waste of money!

Has anyone figured this out? Ever since I got an iphone 6 it has been nothing but problems. I got the 128 GB so I can have all the space I need, but I can't even use it. I don't think the problem has anything to do with syncing because I don't sync my phone and I actually tried syncing it so I could narrow down the issue and my music does not delete when I sync. I have itunes music library and I download all my music from my playlist on my phone via " make available offline. It does it's thing takes like 40 mins to download my music since I trimmed it down hoping I could delete a corrupt song. It stays there for a few days and then I randomly look and I have nothing but a hand full of songs and the last time it left me with only 1 song! This is driving my crazy I have restored 3 times and it's not working. What is more frustrating is in my area there is no service anywhere in my city so I can't even stream music, but that's a whole different subject (att large network that doesn't even cover los Angeles). I have to have a microcell just to get service in my house.
