I have Mid-2012 Macbook Pro with a SSD drive installed. I installed a fresh windows 7 64bit pro and now I get this error when trying to open the bootcamp control panel.
"an error occurred while trying to access the startup disk settings"
I want to be able to right click Restart in Mac OS X but this doesn't work. It boots to a white screen and then it goes to windows again.

You should remove the old Windows installation using BCA (only) and try a new clean install. Are you using an ISO/BC drivers USB or both, USB and DVD?
The last time I did it was from USB is DVD better? I don't want to wipe this and the same error comes back.
Please continue to use the USB. Is it a USB2 device?
Its USB 3.0 . Should I use USB 2.0?
The Windows Installer has not USB3 drivers. If a USB3 is used, it would explain why the BC drivers are not being installed correctly.
I used a USB2 flash driver and after a fresh clean install after removing the old windows partiontion with BCA the error is still present. I still can't not open the bootcamp control panle and the right click boot into Mac OS X does not work.

I can have a workaround for getting to the settings to change the trackpad and etc. I want to be able to right click and boot into Mac OS X. I still do know why this happens. Is my Solid State Drive causing the issue?
The SSD should not be an issue. If you want to try this, install OSX on an external USB flash disk. OS X: Installing OS X on an external volume - Apple Support and test.
How would that test the windows issue. I have read something like this with Windows 8. I would think if other people use SSDs this issue would be more common.
I use a Samsung 840 Pro in a 2012 MBP, and I can do this without any issues. The clean install of OS X would allow OS X to be active from a non-SSD drive. Have you tried the blog method that you linked to? You may also want to check if there are any events in Event Viewer related to the Bootcamp.
Can you also check if AHCI mode is enabled for your SSD?

Do you have a SSD Manager application which can show you AHCI Mode? You may want to check on the Kingston website.
