Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
The voice-to-text in iMessage, SMS and What's App has stopped working properly. The dictation stops after only a half-dozen or so words spoken. Very frustrating. In fact, it happened on my iPhone 5 when I upgraded to 8.2. Two weeks later, I changed to an iPhone 6 and with the 8.2 upgrade, and it's STILL happening. It's 8.2.
Tell me I'm not the only one having this problem!!

I am having the same problem. All was well until a few days ago when I downloaded the new upgrade. From what I see at other posts in related problems its a universal problem on apple servers.
I am having the same problem in both word and pages!
I am also suddenly having the same issue today - I use voice to text ALL the time - it is a necessity for me. Suddenly this afternoon it stopped working and just whirls around like its trying to wait for something . I have closed all other apps, I am connected to wifi, my mic works fine to dictate a memo, so its not that.
Is it possible this happens when the Apple servers are jammed? I know lots of people today are downloading the 8.4.1 iOS update?
Ditto. Same problem. Perhaps it is more ubiquitous than you want to believe. Fix the problem, please!
I am now updated to 9.3.2 with no relief. Just about everyone I know also loves and often uses the dictation feature (if it's working). Software updates aren't touching it. Yo APPLE! Let's get on this now.

Given that you're the first person to post in this thread in almost a year, I'm not sure it's all that common. And no, I'm not going to fix it. That's not my job.
What troubleshooting steps have you taken?
