I alerted the hosts to your request.

He's not the only Panthers fan here 😁

One unmentioned reason is that any previous threads you have participated in have to disappear too, and that means other people's contributions are lost. Fortunately you have only one to be considered and no points to lose.
That is not at all the case. Your account doesn't disappear if the hosts changed the name. Both points and previous contributions remain intact (mine was change in the last month or so).
That is very interesting. I will try and dig out some old posts on this subject because there may have been a change of approach.
No, there has not. Mine was changed several years ago and previous posts are still in evidence (showing the new user name).
It is when you create a new account here that the old one slowly fades away (with your old username). It doesn't get deleted - just fades into oblivion.
Establish a new name. The old one will just fade away.

K-T & 7 t 1, mi amigos grande!
7 t 1 - you first
Have possibly confused "Post Removal" and your stated position? where one was awarded a Green Stamp or Gold Star and post is "poofed", any points connected go away.
K-T,
Although there are indeed good reasons for ID changes - none are minor ones.
ID Theft, a Stalker, Witness Protection, things of that nature... Merely making a poor choice when registering doesn't rate the manpower & time to dig into the Database (LIVE and in use worldwide). It's a pain in its easiest managerial form. NO $$ returned to the Shareholders either.
I have become CURIOUSer... Are the above registration page for "ASC" and the one the someone would encounter while registering for the "Stores" IDENTICAL in this statement? Maybe someone can tell me from experience, as I am not feeling that motivated.
BTW, I like your new moniker very much - almost as much as "Montana Wildhack"

Greetings ÇÇÇ,
Don't know whether I'm coming or going this morning. You've probably got it right ... and I too like the 'moniker'. Got a boutique too, with Zegna, now that has to spell class.
But I'm wondering why the avatar not show in the Bio ...
Have a happy day.
Howdy 7 1
Goggle done ya wrong! Not a Design House or boutique - BUT a fictional character, which explains its attraction to our amigo's (self-proclaimed Curmudgeon & Heathen;) New and Improved "Fictionalized Writer" moniker worthy of his "Occupation" ...
Kilgore Trout
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kilgore Trout First appearance 1965 Last appearance 2004 Created by Kurt Vonnegut Information Gender Male Children Leon Trotsky Trout Nationality American Kilgore Trout is a fictional character created by author Kurt Vonnegut. He was originally created as a fictionalized version of author Theodore Sturgeon (Vonnegut's colleague in the genre of science fiction—Vonnegut was amused by the notion of a person with the name of a fish, Sturgeon, hence Trout[1]), although Trout's consistent presence in Vonnegut's works has also led critics to view him as the author's own alter ego. Trout is also the titular author of the novel Venus on the Half-Shell, written pseudonymously by Philip José Farmer.
Avatars appear elswhere than the profile. Our friend appears to have NOT uploaded any "Profile Pictures" - this one is of the "real Person" about which Vonnegut was "amused" - Theodore Sturgeon

Yeah, I found all those literary connections but the boutique exists. And I am a great fan of Zegna.
Here's the link.
