Cannot open iPhoto after upgrading to SSD.

1. I have verified disk permission.

2. I have deleted and reinstalled iPhoto.

3. I can see the library which copied over doing a disk migration, all 53 GB of it.

4. I downloaded iPhoto Library Manager which can see all the images and albums but cannot rebuild library.

5. When I try to open iPhoto or the library I get this message:

The error message is showing a missing dynamic library in your system library.

Reinstall MacOS X by booting into Recovery. That is the safest way to fix this problem.

See this link: OS X: About OS X Recovery

To start your computer from Recovery, restart your Mac and hold down the Command and R keys at startup.

User uploaded file

Hold these keys until the Apple logo appears. After your computer finishes starting up, you should see a desktop with an OS X menu bar and an OS X Utilities window with the options listed above. If you see a login window or your own desktop instead of the Utilities window, it's possible that you didn't press Command-R early enough. Restart your computer and try again.

Choose the option you want to use from the Utilities window or the Utilities menu.

Reinstalling the system from Recovery will only replace the system files. Your Applications folder and the Users folder with your Home folder will remain untouched, if you do not intentionally erase your system drive before reinstalling. So it will be quick and easy, since you do not need to reinstall anything else.

But do not forget to make a backup of your Mac before reinstalling. It is an essential safety measure.

Question? Why did I have to put it on a boot disk and not just run installer in normal environment?

It should work, when run directly from your hard drive. Have you tried it?

The installer on SD Card is a safety measure. Since your Recovery HD is missing or not working correctly, you can use the bootable SD Card, if you ever need to boot from a second disk to trouble shoot your system. For example, to repair the system drive or to reinstall the system, when you cannot access the internet.
