A follow up question to Introducing Apple Recommends, Manage Subscriptions, and This Helped Me

In Introducing Apple Recommends, Manage Subscriptions, and This Helped Me it was written

Now anyone can click "This helped me" to say thanks to helpful members. When several people mark the same post, it will earn a gold star and appear at the top of the discussion, so it’s easier for others to find. The poster will also earn five reputation points for a job well done.

Does anyone know (or is it written anywhere) just how many is 'serveral'? Is it decided on the fly? Or does it depend on the phase of the moon?

Will the points be awarded to the poster only once, or if say 100 people mark it as helpful will more then 5 points be awarded?

Sounds like a really good system but it seems that a bit more thought should have gone into it, no? Or at least the explanation could be clearer.

Ciao.

(Another question) Can the original post (this one) get marked as helpful also? Imagine earning points for posting :-)

A test to see f the helpful shows up on your own post.

Seems it does. Will this count toward the 'several' needed to get the points?

Here's another one with just ONE "This helped me" and IT is MINE after the fact!

how do i remove duplicate songs on my ipod and in my library

Yes, but it was a question asked about iTunes for Mac and the document linked is in the iTunes for Windows area and some of the solution only applies to the Windows platform (the De-Duper script). 😉 😁

Limnos, mi amigo!

The first paragraph!! the Link is to a decidedly NOT Windows manual operation play-by-play article. - Yes, DeDuper does not apply - but neither did I IMply that the entirety of the post ever did! 👿 is in the details

And how did you come to that conclusion? Were you notified by the hosts? As of now, only the OP can award points (although it talks about other people marking posts and getting 5 points, as far as I know, this system has not been implemented as of right now) - the only other way to garner points is to have people mark your answer helpful and an Apple employee will mark it as "recommended" - that awards you 5 points and it will show in the upper right corner of the post as "recommended". Your linked post does not show a recommended, so unless the rules were changed in the last couple of days, the OP awarded you the 5 points (while others also found your post helpful).

Because if you look at all the users that selected, "This helped me", the OP's name isn't in there BUT I was still awarded 5 points.
