How do I install/retrieve sysdiagnose?
I've been looking for diagnostic tools for my iMac, and I discovered this one this morning. Where is it? How do I retrieve it?
OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

After a quick glance, you have an astounding number of items in your Login items - that will slow down any startup to a crawl. Unless there is something that absolutely has to be running immediately, eliminate them.
Additionally, you appear to have a bunch of WD software installed. Your external hard drive does not need any software installed in order to function and it usually causes problems. If you have all that on an external drive, seriously consider erasing it, formatting it, and then starting over, especially since your last backup was in 2013?
What is WD? Also, that 2013 backup was on an Apple external harddrive that I no longer use (I keep getting notices that I haven't used it for .400+ days, but I haven't bothered to get it off whatever list it's on. The external harddrive that I'm using now (Seagate) is less than 50% full.
WD = Western Digital.
And there is a lot of software listed from it:
WDSecurityHelper UNKNOWN Hidden (missing value)
WDSecurityHelper Application Hidden (/Applications/WD Security.app/Contents/
WDSecurityHelper.app)
WDDriveUtilityHelper Application Hidden (/Applications/WD Drive Utilities.app/Contents/
WDDriveUtilityHelper.app)
You also have way too many Kensington (plus others) drivers unless you use a dozen different mice.....
And you still are showing a Passport hard drive (that is WD):
My Passport for Mac [Local]
Total size: 499.94 GB
Total number of backups: 1
Oldest backup: 2013-10-23 16:38:27 +0000
Last backup: 2013-10-23 16:38:27 +0000
Size of backup disk: Too small
Backup size 499.94 GB < (Disk used 190.74 GB X 3)
Yeah, but it hasn't been connected for more than a year. In fact, I bought the Seagate because the Passport (Apple) was too full.
Oh, I just noticed your comments about the mouses. It looks like EtreCheck never forgets. I have had many mouses, but I'm only using one now. One at a time, the same as everyone else. I might look into deleting them, but that would be a chore, and I don't see how mouses that aren't attached could affect the computer's operation.
I just received the following from you:

I couldn't answer because Apple is telling me that it's restricted. Anyway, I, too, use Bookmarks and will probably be using tabs. I doubt that I'll be using TAGS, though. I also use HISTORY very often, but I'm oftentimes disappointed to find that it doesn't have what I think it should. I have to wonder about the rules that it uses.

You probably got logged out inadvertently - it happens every +/- 30 minutes. And, due to severe spam attacks, the hosts have added more filters so you might have used a word that got rejected. And there is no way to tell which ones they are. And, I noticed that your other thread disappeared - there must have been a post by someone that violated the ToU here.

There is no such thing. There are a number of fraudulent tools on the market that promise to diagnose problems and "clean" your Mac, but they are all garbage. You simply can't run some app and have it tell you everything that is wrong... that's only how computers work in Hollywood. A tool like sysdiagnose is only a tool... it doesn't do anything by itself, it just gives a knowledgeable user information that can be used to help find problems.
As for your problem, looking at your EtreCheck report shows that your system is a HUGE mess. I'm not surprised at all that it's giving you trouble. Rather than trying to figure out how to remove all the old junk you've got installed, I'd recommend just erasing the hard drive and starting over. You'll probably be done far sooner that way. See:
