Apple Watch Band too small. Will there be a XL size?

As I looked through the options for the Apple Watch I was really pumped to get one. This was until I saw Apples band size chart. Immediately I realized that the band sizes would never fit my wrist. It is frustrating to think that Apple has alienated a whole group of customers because they decided not to make a XL Apple Watch Band. I guess my question to Apple is will there be a XL Apple Watch Band?

Its frustrating to think that I may not be able to pre order my device because of small bands.

I find it interesting that Apple seems not to care the least bit about the lost revenue or good will by not addressing this issue. What might the numbers be of Apple supporters that have been ignored by this decision? Will Apple allow others to use their trick new patented proprietary band snap-on attachment? I've heard that they will not allow the use of there patented products. I think that many of us that are in this situation do not wear a watch or need one but we want one because it is a cool Apple product but I'm about over it now and feel a bit let down by the people who have made these decisions.

I suspect that you also would have this problem if you walked into a watch store and tried to buy any medium to high end watch, the bands would not be big enough. Use the feedback link I provided and add yourself to the list of people who would like a bigger band. The problem with this first issue is if they sold a 230mm milanese as the standard it would then be too big for a lot more people. They could even in the future offer band size as an option when ordering, you could suggest that.

As to losing revenue that would depend on the number of people who need the larger bands that are wanting to buy an Apple Watch and the cost to make such a limited number and have them available. It may actually cost them money to do so.

I posted this elsewhere, but not sure how to link (ha!) you too it.

I got my watch on Friday. A little over $700.00 bucks, even with a the skimpy band...................

I guess it is kind of a "man" thing. You learn to trust in life that certain dimensions of certain things always remain logical. I think the term is "true to fit," or something like that. If you buy, say, an XL shirt, you come to expect the tail to be certain length. When you buy a size 12 shoe, you expect it to fit. A .22 caliber Winchester, unless called a "youth" model, is always about the same size...and on and on. Sure there are always variables, but in general day to day things are almost always correct.

A man's watch is not just a piece of jewelry, but an important part of your wardrobe and a tool you learn to depend on, and NO watch, in the history of the world has ever been sold with a strap that is at least an inch too short. I don't care what the charts said.

The band is out of gauge.

APPLE BLEW IT.

LOL! I have the opposite situation (I don't consider size — large or small — to be a "problem"); my wrist is quite small. When I helped to fund the Click band adapters, I had no idea that nothing they were going to provide would be small enough to fit me. It's the way the cookie crumbles. We all have to make allowances here and there for things that don't fit, whether they're off-the-rack clothes, or watches or shoes or whatever. Don't get me wrong — I am sorry that some are having a problem with the size of the bands. But it's not a conspiracy, and we'll all live through it. JMHO.
