I'm having the same problem. I tried the fix mentioned, but it doesn't work. Why? Because I never received any separate sign-in information from HBO Now. Obviously, their site has no idea who I am because I signed up for HBO Now free trial through iTunes using my Apple ID (which doesn't work for HBO Now). Nothing works....sigh. I'm trying to watch HBO Now on a different computer and can't.

Does anybody have a fix that actually works? At what point in the process of signing up for the free trial through iTunes did you receive separate sign-in/registration information for HBO Now??

Lepsilak,

like I said before I had to log out of Apple TV completely and then downloaded the app on my iPhone. I originally logged in on the ATV and never got the registration screen. Once I used the app on the iPhone I logged on as a new user and got the registration screen so I could set a password and linked it to my Apple ID. I then went back on my ATV and logged in using the password I set in the registration.

I know how frustrating it can be, I wish you well and hope this helps.

I am having ongoing issues with HBO Now on Apple TV - I have contacted HBO but their support has been completely useless - almost everytime i try to watch HBO it does nothing but buffer - tonight i started a program and stopped at 11 seconds - it started and stopped a couple of time until becoming completely stuck at the two minute mark

HBO wants to blame my connection or equipment - but i have not issues with any other streaming service

I understand it's a new service, and i also understand there are bugs with most things when they are new - but at this point they are unwilling to acknowledge that this might be their issue instead of mine

I also only have an AppleTV. I made the mistake of signing out of HBO NOW, and now I can't get back in. I've gone through this ridiculous loop where it says I don't have a subscription, so I try to subscribe, then it can't connect to the iTunes store. I spent over 20 minutes on the phone with HBO trying to explain that I never got a registration email and the guy just didn't get it. They can't find me in their system (of course) because my sign up was through iTunes. Any suggestions on what to do if you don't have another IOS Device to use?

Ok, i had this same issue. I signed up using my AppleTV and I do not have any other Apple products. I called support. So, you'll need to go back to your emails and search for this Subject: "Create Your HBO NOW Account" . The support lady notified me that although you registered via AppleTV and you could stream from that moment on, the registration isn't actually complete until you hit the link from that email. The address it is sent from is: HBONOW@information.hbonow.com

Once you register, it will allow you to enter your own password for future logins from other devices.

I have had the same issue with constant buffering. Netflix and other services on AppleTV work fine. I can see my Watch List on HBO Now, but it won't let me actually watch anything. Tried signing out, new password, turning auto-renew off and on, but no help. It worked on AppleTV when I first signed up, and I can watch on iPad, iPhone, and iMac without issue.

I've been trying to login for 2.5 hours now. I've tried every iteration of your suggestion at least three with no success. I actually do make it to a page that says Congratulations and a button that says Watch Now. But when I click it, it asks me to sign in again. Then when I do, I'm told that I need to renew my subscription. When I do that, I'm told that I already have a subscription. Then I'm taken back to the HBO Now home screen, where it looks like I'm ready to go...that is, until I try to watch something, then I start the loop over again.

I've tried completely deleting my account and starting over, but I'm told that my email address already has an account and active subscription.

Uggg. This is clearly NOT an Apple designed process because it not only does not work, it's not elegant. Oh, and the support offered on HBO Now website is worthless. At least when I had HBO service from DirecTV, there was a 24-hour phone number to call, and they would fix the problem while I was holding.
