it seems to me that its worse 😟
im not sure but i had 90% and went to dinner came back with 40%
My wifi was on but not in use. Im thinking about going back to 8.2
On my iPhone 5s, battery problems starts after 8.2 update. I was hoping that 8.3 will fix the problem, but it's stay. The same situation with my iPad Air.
But, if i remove sim, battery works like a charm!
Yes, seems much worse on my iPhone 6.
Anyone noticed any stuttering when using digital zoom whilst recording video? It used to zoom very smoothly, now it jumps - not always but this is new.
HI got same problems on Iphone 5S ( 8.3 )
I have the same issue as brehob... iPhone 6 Plus battery life was amazing w/ iOS 8.0, 8.1, and 8.2. As soon as I updated to 8.3, battery drain through the day is much quicker. My battery is now at ~20% with regular usage by the end of the day, whereas before it would be 50%+ remaining by the end of the day. And I didn't install any news apps since, so it can't be an app issue.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say some of the connectivity stability fixes made in 8.3 are causing too much battery drain.
I contacted apple support with my story and they told me to bring it in to an Apple Store because it may be faulty hardware. Regardless of if it is software or hardware, they need to see it because it is unusable (100% at bed time, 10% left in the morning even in airplane mode and no wifi enabled)
I did the IOS update yesterday. My battery is now terrible. Lost about 60% in 4 hours doing nothing today.
With a 5C it definitely is worse. Not by a lot, but noticeable for sure. The one thing I notice is a definite drain even in standby for hours. I used to lose very little
in standby, now I seem to lose about 15% . I do not have a lot of apps updating either. Before the update I would maybe lose 5% battery. Last night went to bed it was at 90% by morning it was 60%? Maybe it has something to do with WiFi fix? I'm going to try and disable WiFi tonight to see if it helps. But I typically have Do Not disturb enabled at night which should have helped battery life?
Since updating my iiPhone 6 to 8.3 my battery is draining extremely fast. Last night while I was out shopping i went from 100% to 63% within an hour and I only sent one message. Very annoying as 8.2 I didnt have this issue I could go all day and only have to plug my phone in before bed. I did a reset and that didn't help.
This issue started with my battery before I even updated to 8.3. Yesterday it dropped from 30 - 20 - 3 within 10 mins! Then when i plugged it in to charge it instantly shot back up to 12%. Think a bug fix update is needed ASAP!
HI,
Found this issue too, I'm using 6plus, after update to IOS 8.3, battery draining very fast even I'm not using it frequently.
Hope Apple are able notice this issue and expedite the process to solve this. It's quite annoying.
Thanks and regards
iPhone6 with the IOS 8.3 - initially it was great, and then updated my iPad Air. Went to bed, my phone was 98% and when I woke up, it showed a red battery icon and 27%. Normally the battery remains the same when I wake up, but apparently during the night my phone was doing some serious processing. Now I notice the batter last only a few hours, and the phone get really hot while using it for more than 30 minutes.
fast forward to Sunday 4/13 and a drive from LA to OC; phone was 54% when I departed and was plugged into car charger. Normally I play music and by the time I arrive in OC, the phone is 100%. Not tonight. the phone burned thru the charge it had plus what the car charger was putting out and before arriving in OC, the low battery warning box showed up.
I am guessing the power is being consumed with the new Photo's app.
My iPhone 6 Plus now runs hot, can't get the battery over 80% and am having problems with iMessage.
Battery is horrible on 8.3 update. I have an iphone 5. Wait til they release a fix. Awful.
HI guys,
My wife and I had the same issue both on iPad Air, iPhone 5S & 6. Try the following steps, it worked on our 3 devices:
1. Logout of iCloud in the settings.
2. Press and hold the Seep & Home buttons at the same time until the device reboots.
3. Login iCloud again.
Regards
Tristan
