Touch ID still working in unlock screen, not asked in App Store.
iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.3
I tried toggling "iTunes & Appstore" off and on first thing yesterday, but I didn't reboot and still didn't work. I tried the steps and rebooted and it seems to have fixed the iTouch problem with the appstore. So I had to reboot here it seems.
The touch ID came back without me doing nothing.
People that were telling that its our own fault and not apples and we have to restore reset and things like that, good we didnt hear them and didnt do something stupid.
probably it was Apples problem and they fixed it.
No troobleshooting nor something familiar.
I was having the same problem when I realized this morning and then I checked back at night (a few minutes ago) and it worked again. Maybe you can try and wait too?
Same here. I just noticed it today when i woke up that the touch ID is now working. Glad to know it doesnt need to have 8.3.1 to fix this

Touch ID for iTunes and App Store purchases works fine now everyone! Please check your phone.
Works super well again! How did they manage to solve it without having us update?
I have the same problem here, but here's what i did to fixed it, Open setting > iTunes & App Store then click on your account then log out. After that sign in again and use your Touch ID to purchase something on App Store. It works for me 🙂
If you still can't get it working, disable all Touch ID settings for login, apply pay and iTunes, then exit the Touch ID menu, re-enter the menu and re-enable. Login with your password and then exit. You should have the Touch ID authentication again on purchase.
go to setting - touch id & passcode - off and on itune & Apps Store back

his fixed the issue on my device! Follow the directions exactly!
UUnless it prompts you for the iTunes password, this won't work. You have to turn it off, exit settings app, power cycle device, then go back and turn it on. Then it works, in my experience. (I already tried it without power cycling and it didn't fix it)
hi everyone . ios8.3 nothing problem with touch id and battery . you are did wrong on instalation update . i will tell u what shoud to do about that and try do do this always before any update iphone. u need to do reset all setting before update and one more times after finish update . the reset all setting not delete any data in your phone just only return your setting phone to your factory seting . this action will fix your touch id problem and battery on ios 8.3.
you are to late bro , Apple fixed that already it was server side issue, someone close the topic please
i did NOT "did an update wrong". you cannot "do an update wrong". you SHOULD always make a backup before updating, but you can't perform it incorrectly. it's completely out of your control. the phone does it by itself. thats the point. why would you blame me, the user? that's RUDE and inaccurate!
If an issue occurs after an update, then you may try the step you referenced to attempt to remedy the malady, but you shouldn't HAVE to reset all settings EVER, unless there IS and issue present! do us all a favor and don't try to tell someone to do some reset out of compulsion "before and after updates". that is ridiculous! no one should do that UNLESS there is an issue!
the issue was MOST DEFINITELY NOT server side. that is why it affected some phones and NOT others. i turned off my setting restarted the device and turned it back on. that and only that fixed it. don't make up things you are unaware about
