Music apps crashing after the ios 8.3 update
I have many music apps on my phone like soundcloud and spinrilla. After the update I can't play any songs because the app crashes right after. How do I fix this?

I have the same issue with soundcloud and the app DR Radio
I have tried restart the phone and re-install the apps - it helped it the case of soundcloud but not the other app.
iPhone 6+, iOS 83
Just wanted to let people know that this solved the problem for me, I just changed all my smart playlists to limit by size instead of number and the crashing stopped. I'm so glad that I looked here before wiping my phone and starting over.
I started having this issue after upgrading to iOS 8.3 as well (iPhone 6). Of the mentioned solutions, turning off 'Show All Music' and/or iTunes match was not my problem as I already had those turned off. I can confirm that I only encounter the crashing when playing smart playlists that have a song count limit. Other smart playlists work ok, as well as just playing an artist/album. I have not tried reproducing it in landscape mode.
I read on another thread that a guy was working with apple tech support and was able to get the support guy to reproduce it on his device, so I assume Apple does know about this and hopefully there will be an 8.1 update soon.
in my case the Iphone 6 went back to normal just by exiting the playlist "Recently played"
music App now not crashing anymore.
hope this helps.
Edit - an 8.31 or 8.4 update 🙂
In my particular case, the issue only occurred when I attempted to enter the "My Top Rated" playlist on my iPhone with the sync option "Entire Music Playlist" on my computer. I was able to fix this by checking "Automatically Fill Free Space With Songs" instead. Luckily I have the 64GB iPhone 6, thus "Entire Music Playlist" and "Automatically Fill Free Space With Songs" essentially translate to the same thing. To those struggling with space issues, this process is more hectic. You should just check everything you want. It seems that only the sync "Entire Music Playlist" option causes the crashing issue (for me at least). I do realize that this fix is very sketchy so I encourage updating the next iOS as soon as it becomes available.
IM having the same problem! I have the iPhone 6 with 8.3 update. Sometimes the music works fine and other times I can only open it and it crashes immediately. It's seriously ******* annoying! I've reset, restored, closed all apps and it still won't work right. I'm beyond done.
Thanks for this tip - it worked for me. Just changed all my smart playlists to limit to MB instead of track numbers, it worked immediately.
I get the same problem in IOS 10.0 and 10.1.1. I found that editing the playlist in iTunes and deselecting the Live Updating check box fixed this issue after syncing the playlists to my iPhone 6+. Hope this helps all of you!
