ios 8.3 update, now phone can't connect to car stereo

Brand new problem this morning after ios 8.3 update.

iPhone 5c, connects via proprietary cable to my 2010 Hyundai Sonata. Never had issues, even with the 30-pin:Lightning adapter. Now every time I switch stereo to the 'aux' input (i.e., my iPhone) while phone is plugged in I get "loading error." Tried with Downcast app, Music app, restarting phone after ios update, nothing works thus far

Guess it wasn't worth saving the time on typing in passwords for free apps....

I had the same issue as you guys using 8.3 so I downgraded to 8.2. After receiving a replacement iPhone with 8.3 and being unable to downgrade again, I updated to iOS 8.4 Beta and have had no functionality issues with my 2012 KIA Sorento. I guess the new CarPlay features messed it up but they changed something again so that it'll be functional so either wait til 8.4 is released (rumored to be some time in June) or find a way to update to 8.4 Beta.

danixca, you are a genius!

Delete car (Hyundai i40) from bluetooth devices on phone.

Delete iPhone from cars phone list.

Pair phone with car again.

Plug Hyundai iPod cable + lightning connector into phone and Hey Presto, the last song played continues from where it left off.

Make a call using Bluetooth. Hang up. Slight delay and then the music continues.

I Think the CarPlay option is still there if you don't mind lower quality Bluetooth streamed music.

Thank you. Hope this works for everyone else.

thanks! guess the update will be worthwhile

just curious about the whole apple music thing, if you happen to know.

if I never activate the 3-month trial on streaming my experience should be relatively unchanged, correct? I assume some superficial changes with any update but I have heard weird things about people's itunes libraries getting messed up by the streaming service (incorrect artwork & the like)

2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited here. IOS 8.4 fixed my cable connection error issue. After the last update 8.3 or whatever it was, when I connected the dock cable i just got an initialize error. The work around i came up with was to first start playing a youtube video through the youtube app, then connect the cable. The video would start to play though the car, then I’d go to a playlist and just start a song and it would connect and play normally. It was a pain in the *** if I was in a hurry but it worked. I installed 8.4 and now I don’t have any problems connecting though the cable. I didn’t see any bluetooth issues either. I didn’t have to reset anything.
