Does anyone know how to do this in the new Photos when running it in Yosemite? I don't EVER want to hear music during a slideshow, so I'd love to turn it off in preferences. But I would settle for just knowing out to do it whenever I launch a slideshow.
I don't see any Selected Music area or corresponding X as shown in Old Toad's suggestion.

I've just upgraded to Sierra and the option to turn off music in slideshows is no longer available. Any updates as to how I can turn this off?
When you hover with the pointer over some item in the "Selected Music" you will see an "x". Click it to remove the selected item. Remove all items in the "Selected Music" playlist this way.
