Bootcamp lost after 10.10.3 update - how to recover? (with pastes)

Same as with other people, bootcamp gone after 10.10.3 update. I tried to solve it but couldn't... Any help appreciated. Seems based on the forum posts that this is fairly easy to solve as long as you know what to do (and what numbers to input into right places). Here is the information, maybe you would know how to solve this please?

A reply to myself.

Yesterday, I prepared to fix my Boot Camp using some of the solutions offered. I inserted my media disk and restarted hoping to perform a Master Boot Record Repair. Didn't need to, Windows booted up directly. I was surprised. I felt bad about my rant

Today, I also booted into Windows directly, updated the software, was pleased with the improved performance of Office compared to the Mac version.

Then after using OS X 10.10.3 for a bit, I re-booted to Windows. I wanted to re-boot to Windows, but ran into the same problem as when I reported the issue on Sunday. Boot to blank screen, unable to boot Windows, unable to get into the firmware password prompt.

Gave up and got OS X Yosemite to boot. Somehow.

Here I am complaining again.

I am really sad over the state of Apple.

Never again.

Apple you messed up a fine working computer. You cannot be trusted.

Windows is booting perfectly 100%. I have isolated the problem after many restarts.

Power up

Hold Down Option Key

Enter Password

See: Macintosh HD - Windows - Recovery

Default is Windows since I selected that when the problem started. Arrow is under Windows.

If I hit return to boot Windows, I get nothing. Computer is frozen.

If I arrow to Macintosh HD and then back to Windows, perfect boot to Windows.

So, it seems to be the firmware. Windows is not damaged. Never was. Works 100%

If I let the boot go without the Option key, Windows boots 100%.

If I switch back to Macintosh HD, I am sure it be 100% boot to Yosemite.

It is in the firmware. Apple. At least I have the work around. Just disappointed.

Windows is to work. I trash it 8 hours a day work in software development.

I used to enjoy getting home to my Macs. Not as much anymore.

Yes I do. I first tried recovering the boot loader with GPT, but after some time I decided to start all over and erased the bootcamp partition.

I then tried creating a new one with my Win7-x64 image from a USB-drive through bootcamp.

Unfortunately when booting from the USB-drive I got no response from the keyboard, touchpad nor USB mouse, so I could not advance with the installation. Any ideas?

You are using a USB3 device. It will not work. Please use a USB2 device. Windows Installer has no built-in support for USB3. It is available, only after the full Windows is installed, and BC drivers are fully installed.
