Safari doesn't work after iOS 8.3 update

After the iOS 8.3 update, Safari is completely useless. I am unable to open any URLs or search. Nothing happens when I type and return in the search bar. Sometimes even the go button doesn't highlight/activate.

I tried removing cache and disabling iCloud, but nothing worked.

Does anyone have a solution?

So, I just tried to follow your steps, but iPhone Configuration Utility seems to have been discontinued and no longer available to download. It's been replaced by "Apple Configurator" which I downloaded but couldn't seem to make do anything like show a console. However a quick google led me to this: http://lemonjar.com/iosconsole/so I downloaded and launched that, connected iPhone. Console started up and showed me all sorts of stuff (quite interesting to see what's going on on the phone!) and Safari miraculously started working.

I've disconnected the phone from the usb cable and Safari is still working. So fingers crossed this will continue.

Thank you!

I really didn't do much. First I tried to use Apple Configurator, but after clicking around for a while didn't see anything that would let me see what's happening on the phone. Then I installed the iOS console. Unplugged phone, plugged it in again (to USB) watched the console for a few minutes until the phone had finished backing up/syncing with iTunes, then started up Safari (while the phone was still plugged in to USB) and it worked.

I then unplugged and it's been working ever since.

Very unclear how any of that could actually have fixed anything, of course, but it certainly has!

APPLE DEVELOPERS KNOW ABOUT THIS ISSUE.

I reported this bug to the Apple Radar bug reporting site. Received a reply back telling me that my report on this issue was a duplicate, and my case was being closed. They did not say anything else; like if they are working on it, or when it might be fixed in an update.

I got Safari working for awhile, then it stopped again. I have spent too much time on this issue already. Going to wait for the next update and hope for the best.

The iOSconsole thing didn't work for me.

I've had this issue since updating to 8.3 a couple days ago. It might not have started immediately but now it happens pretty much every time I use safari. I tried clearing website data and it didn't help.

It works in private browsing mode but I need a proper fix 😢

This is why I'm always so hesitant to do software updates...
