My podcasts on iphone 6 have stopped downloading. All new podcasts are stuck on "preparing to download" but never actually downloading.
Is this a known error?
I am experiencing this problem as well. Thought it might be cell network/wifi related, but even after I allowed podcasts to update over cellular, and at home on my very fast wifi network, still seeing the same issue.
Thank God for Google! I have been frustrated with my podcast not downloading and not even allowing me to manually download Podcasts. Sure enough… Powered the phone down and up again and immediately my podcast resumed it's downloading. I have an iPhone 7 and it's updated to the last iOS 10.23 THANK YOU!
This is a very helpful reply. I followed it once, and it worked. Now I have the same problem. I think a download "gets stuck" and somehow needs to be cleared.
However, the first time I followed this it took me a long while to figure out what GoMissou90 means by "Pull to refresh" in step 3. There is no such command on my iPhone. Now I need a fix again, I need to figure this out again.
Can you help us GoMiss'?

I am having the same problem. Here is a work around that worked for me:
Same problem. Was able to fix by turning the phone off and on
A reboot ended up solving the problem for me too.
Turning phone off and on again fixed my Podcasts as well.
This method did not work for me (iOS 8.3, Podcasts 2.2.1 (740.56)). But turning phone off and on again helped.
Same problem for me, with ios8.3 and podcast 2.2.1 on an iPhone 5S
Same problem, reboot did seem to fix it, however podcasts seem to down loading much slower than they used to. 😟
Here to confirm that the phone restart worked for me too. Podcasts are now downloading!
