Podcast's not downloading

I agree. I refuse to ever update my phone again, every single time there's an update something either breaks or gets worse. It's gotten to the point where I'm actually afraid to hit update on anything anymore because I know I'll get to spend the next month attempting to fix everything that Apple broke, and for no good reason. Don't even get me started on that absolutely atrocious excuse for a "Music" app they just forced down our throats...

I think iOS update 10.0.2 may have resolved this issue. At this point, the podcasts are updating auto-magically....as is proper.

Until Apple fixes this problem, I have found this temporary solution:

1. Go to the specific podcast that is not downloading.

2. Tap the "..." on the right side of the screen next to the podcast.

3. Select "Cancel Download"

4. Tap the "..." on the right side of the screen next to the podcast again.

5. Select "Download Episode"

You will need to do this with each episode you want to download until the problem is solved.

So what I'm reading here is that every time I want to download podcasts, I need to reboot. That worked once but now that the problem continues, it's a serious inconvenience to restart my phone every time I want to listen to a new podcast.

Rebooting iPhone 6 w/ iOS 10 works... temporarily! Continue to have downloads frozen on, "preparing to download."

Restarting my phone fixes the problem, but only for the first set of downloads. If a new episode is released, I have to restart my phone again. Super annoying

Still broken February 8, 2017 only a reboot fixes it well done Apple. I have the latest and greatest iPhone with 256 GB........
