Yosemite Recovery Update shows up as available Update in AppStore

If you have any other external drives or other internal volumes mounted, eject those other drives and then check for that update. If it still shows, try installing it with the other drives disconnected.
This worked for me and someone else.
I was having the same issue over several days of trying, The update would show as installed but it hadn't.
I decided to watch the download progress to make sure it wasn't stopping. The download took several hours even though I can usually download a file that size in 15 minutes. You can view the download progress by clicking on the purchases icon of the Mac App Store.
I find the Mac App Store servers extremely slow.
I have no other devices connected to this MacBook Air. On the two other Macs (Mac mini and iMac) the update was no problem at all. But thank you for taking time!
If I click on the purchases icon in the AppStore it don't show any Software-Update to me except the Apps I did buy. 😕
Are you sure that you have indeed a RecoveryPartition on your MBA?
Start Terminal and enter the following command:
diskutil list
then you see whether you have a Recovery Partition or not (it is about 650MB size).
If there is no Recovery Disk, you can not update it.

Yes indeed, I do have this partition on my Air! I think the download of this special Recovery-Update has not finished correct on the first try for whatever reason, and now the AppStore *thinks* it is downloaded but not installed. All I need would be another download of this Recovery-Update, but I can't find it anywhere. Maybe it is implemented within the Combo-Update of 10.10.3 which is available via the Apple Support pages. Does anyone know, if I can do the combo update although 10.10.3 is already installed?
Yes you can do the Combo Update.
OK, I will try and report back.
I am not sure the Combo Update contains the Recovery Update. Try it.
Lex
I have done the Combo Update, but no cure. Recovery-Update still present in AppStore and no chance to get it installed. 😢
Thanks a lot to all of you trying to help me!
Then I think the Combo does not contain this "Recovery Update". Maybe call Apple support?
Yes, it looks like the Combo does not contain it. I wrote a feedback to Apple earlier this day. Let's look how things go on.
They will not answer your feedback, but maybe they come up with a new update to correct that. Hopefully the others with the same issue will send a feedback also. That would help well. Keep us informed.

Hide Updates Yosemite see 3 Mar post by tc767400
I am afraid I really do not understand what you want to tell me? 😊 I don't want to hide purchases in iTunes store - or do I miss something essential?
