Does anyone know why Adjustments in Edit mode of Photos will not preview or be added to photos that I've just taken on my iPhone and am trying to edit on my MacBook?
Cropping works, the Filters work, but Enhance or making individual changes to Contrast, Light etc. using Adjustments, do not show up in the preview or make any differences appear in the photo.

How are you transferring the photos? By USB connection or in iCloud Photo Library? Photo Stream?
after upgrade to latest os x still have probs - edit a photo and maybe it will work, edit a second photo less chance if edit working. exit app and restart and usually edit will wirk on a photo that would not just previously edit. not perms issue, clearly. consistent prob since intro of photos to os x. interestingly, edits applied on iphone and imported to os x will generally not be visible in imports preview, tho the edits will eventually be applied after closing photos and restarting.

January 17, 2016 and this having this problem!!! NOT Cool Apple!
I've had the same problem: dragging pictures out of Photos often doesn't include your edits. Go the the File menu and use the Export command. This works!
