Logic X hangs on start up. Updating information about audio units plug ins.

last session logic X crashed as I closed down..Logic hangs on every start up.The screen splash says Updating information about audio units plug ins. However it just stays like that. Tried deleting the com.apple.audiounits.cache with no result. The preference/plugin manager is greyed out so can't get to that.. updated Yosemite to latest.

Does any on have any ideas??

thanks for any help

Ok.. so from the Etrecheck log it seems you are actually having crashes in several apps and they are all related to graphical issues.... which was also reflected in your Logic Crash logs (not the validation logs which are a separate issue i believe)

It might be Avatron's AirDisplay that is at the root of some of them looking through your logs again...

Thanks Art Of Sound that was really very helpful..

I have tried opening Logic with Avavtrons Air Display off.

Logic then loaded as normal but crashed shortly after.. but a step forward.. : )

I will trash Air Display as it is an unstable buggy app anyway.

Meanwhile I have opened a case with Apple tech support and their engineers are looking at all my Logic X crash logs.

i will continue with current suggestions before I do anything like a reinstall as it is becoming apparent it is a conflict of some sort.

Thanks so much for your help so far I will continue to explore some of your suggestions

thanks again
