How to enable wi-fi calling on iPhone 6 with Metro PCS

I emailed MetroPCS regarding this issue as well. If they get back to me with a solution, then I'll post it up here.

This is still an issue on iOS 9.0.1 on iPhone 6. Metro PCS is my carrier and when I try to enable wifi calling I am directed to a t-mobile login screen. Has anyone had any luck with this yet? I would really like to use this feature.

Clavion, Can you email or call Metro PCS, T-Mobile, and Apple regarding this? I've tried, but I'm not sure where the problem lies. We all know that the 3 companies should all be dealing with the issue. I would love to use this feature, but no one company will help me get it to work =(

I also see this problem: when I enable WiFi Calling in the Settings app, a T-mobile login screen appears. I have a MetroPCS account. I'm running iOS 9.0.2 on an iPhone 6 Plus.

I Want to ask something. I have an iPhone 6s; I'm using the iPhone in the MetroPcS network. I've tried to activate this feature, but I haven't been able to do it because there is no option about it in my iphone. Is it a problem or how can I solve it?

Victor, There is an option to enable it under the iPhone as CubsFan posted in the first message. The problem lies with getting it to actually work.

The option is there, but does not work. Read the first post, as the problem is described best there. There seems to be no solution, as Metro PCS told me that they only support wifi calling on Metro PCS branded phones. I'm assuming Metro PCS wants you to upgrade to their parent company Tmobile, in order to get this feature to work.

That's strange beacause in my iPhone it's not shown, and another thing is that my iPhone shows 3G as 3G, not as 4G like in the T-Mobile network. But I've put a T-Mobile's SIM card and those both things works, but when I use MetroPCS they don't work.

MetroPCS is a supported CDMA carrier. They are NOT a supported GSM carrier. If you attempt to use an unlocked phone on their network, some features may not work or may not work correctly. In order to get full support of all features they offer, you need to buy an iPhone sold explicitly for use on the MetroPCS network.

I know it was before. They've changed they are now GSM. My mother has an iPhone 5c just GSM bought in another country and everything works. It is just happening to me with my iPhone 6S. Ps: they don't sell iPhone.

No. They are not. They offer GSM service, that does NOT mean they are a supported GSM carrier for the iPhone. The iPhones that they sell are CDMA models. You're going to have to work this out with them.

Nationwide MetroPCS service is with any unlocked compatible GSM phone. They switched over to T-Mobile Towers about two years ago when they were acquired by them. Metro PCS does not even sell the iPhone at all.

On your iphone 6S, go to Settings, then Phone, then Wi-Fi calling. Slide the button to on, and then click enable. That's as far as you'll get. Whether it will prompt you to log into a Tmobile screen or not is another story. But even if it does, it will still not work. That's the problem that we are all hitting.

Hum! :/ I dont know where you are getting your info but I work for MetroPCS and I can tell for certain WE ARE 100% GSM and we been for more than a year or so. As of July 2015 (around that month depending on the state) all CDMA phones have stop working.

And are you authorized to sell the iPhone?

Metro PCS doesn't currently sell the iPhone, never has, and probably never will. They only sell Android or Windows Phones. They do sell the Samsung Galaxy S phones at retail price.

Anyway, onto the wifi calling problem with the iPhone running on the Metro PCS network, this is the error I get... which leads me to believe that it's a carrier problem.
