Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

How can I stop Safari from opening with multiple tabs?

Every time I open Safari it automatically opens like 15-20 tabs. Ive cleared the history and website data, went into preferences and played around with the tabs menu as well as the general menu but nothing seems to work. I wonder if it has anything to do with some virus from 3rd party website because nothing seems to work. I just purchased this brand new MacBook Pro 2 months ago. Any suggestions?

I was able to start in safe mode successfully. Come to find out the volume was off when I shut the computer down so upon start up the sound will not be there. I turned the volume back up and held the shift. I did see "safe mode"in red letters at the top of the screen. It was a bit glitchy for a second but when I opened Safari it did not work.

I shut the computer down again and rebooted the regular way, turned on Safari and it still didn't work!

When you say Safari "did not work," I assume that means that even in safe mode you still saw the same tabs opening. Is that correct?

You're right Grane Duke.. 🙂 Does this help??

Apr 22, 2015 5:15 PM in response to Grane Duke

Pardon me being such a beginner, but I was only able to remove CodeMeter from my apps. UTorrent and MBox (for my home studio) are apps that I use.

Silverlight was something I thought I downloaded so that I could view movies on the ShowtimeAnytime website. Still unable to view movies or even locate this app on my computer.

Samsung Driver was installed to hopefully allow me to sync my Samsung Galaxy Note II with my Apple device. That never happened (a whole different story on Samsung and Apple compatibility- my Samsung worked fine with my previous Mac Mini but now with the new MacBook Pro- nada!). Anyway, I cannot locate it in my apps or on my computer.

Again, pardon me being such a beginner. Im usually pretty good with computer related issues.

Ok.

Download this app called Find any File....http://apps.tempel.org/FindAnyFile/

Only download it from the provided link and not from anywhere else, as there are chances that the software is pre bundled with Mackeeper or any other malware.

Its a full featured trail version. You may buy it if you want. Appstore sells only the paid version of it but you can try it for free on the developers website. Search for Silverlight and Samsung driver app and remove all the files associated with them after searching with this app.

Remove Verizon wireless software if not needed.

Disable the Google drive if possible from your Google account.
