Pro Video Format 2.0.1 ask me to update it in MAS repeatedly in loop

This solution is a shame for Apple !

Fixed it by installing Pacifist,

Download the .dmg from Apple for the ProVideo update,

install with Pacifist,

Problem solved.

Download the installer package from Apple and then use Pacifist to install it.

Except that it did not fix it, because he was unable to import MXF files. As I've pointed out, the update DELETES Compressor's MXF settings files, and the solution shown in the video involving the Quicktime files only does not solve that. You'll need to install with Pacifist to solve ALL the problems with this update.

I just tried it with pacifist as you suggested, installed using pacifist still can't import mxf files. Then I manually copied every single file to its corresponding place and replaced everything from the install file still I can't import MXF.

I didn't find it here first, BUT this DID work for the two machines that I needed it to work on.

Interestingly, I had called Apple Support about this yesterday, and they told me I would have back up all my files, and do a clean reinstall of OS 10.10.3 to fix it.

Never used Pacifist. How do you install with pacifist? Aaron, You mean to say open open the ProVideoFormats.dmg with pacifist and install it?

IN pacifist there are 4 open modules. Which one do I use?

I think the file that is blocking the process is AppleIntermediateCodex.component

I tagged my Quicktime copy files so I could just move the others back together, all tagged fine except the one above which needed password to make changes!
