Hi. Text & Email Notifications not showing on watch?

I seem to have the correct notifications switch on via the apple watch app on my phone, but they don't come up as an alert on the watch.

Any advice?

Here is the simple fix. Switch off Show on Lock Screen under Mail-Notifications on iPhone. That will do it. you can only have notifications showing on one device - it is either the iPhone or the watch.

The reason you may not be getting VIP notifications on your Apple Watch for your gmail accounts is because of the Fetch vs. Push options. Yahoo allows for Push, but it doesn't seem that the iPhone allows that option for gmail accounts, so the best you can do for gmail is Fetch.

To improve this situation, you may want to change the Fetch settings from 'manually' which would mean it would only update when you manually go into the mail app on your iphone, to something more frequent like 'Every 15 minutes.' This would lead to email in your gmail accounts being fetched every 15 minutes without your intervention while your iphone is locked and subesequently you would receive email notifications (VIP or otherwise) on your Apple Watch at least within 15 minutes from the time the email came through.

You can view and edit these settings on your iphone through:

Settings>>Mail (then scroll way down)>>Fetch New Data (tap on this)>>slide to select Push option>>scroll down to Fetch, and update frequency from 'Manually' to 'Every 15 Minutes'.
