can't get any map on my apple watch

Opening Plan app on my apple watch, show me only a grid and no map !

Watch Sport 42mm, iOS 8.3

Unbelievable that this problem still occurs almost 2 years after this thread started. What worked for me was unpairing (including backup and resetting the watch) and repairing the watch.


For those who did not do that before (like me): No worries, your watch (esp. settings, apps, watchfaces) will be like before. Steps are described on https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204568.


The other solutions above like doing a simple or nearby search did not work for me.

Maps worked this morning after I toggled Bluetooth on and off. I didn't try without doing this first, so I don't know if Apple did something on their side or if it's a bug... But I think I had already toggle Bluetooth on and off yesterday without success, so I guess Apple DID do something.


Anyway, thanks everyone, thanks Apple, everything works fine now and I'm starting to like this watch!

OKay........it works 🙂 looks like Apple must have corrected something their side.


last night around 12:30 it just started working , I had tried everything on this post to no avail.


i Had restored the phone as new and paired only to find it wasn't working and gave up on it.

then the Apple fairies did their magic and hey presto I thought I would take one last look before going to sleep.


i Had maps , tears where welling up......
