Weather app not working on watch

I have found something else that may solve the issue. In Privacy > Location Services > Weather and it said “While Using the App”.., I changed it to “Always” and the Weather app updated on my Apple Watch very soon after!

Reset your iPhone? Reset your Watch? Oh ****, reset both of them.

Guess you are going to have to call Apple.

I had this issue, but was able to find out the cause and fix it. I normally use the Weather Channel app instead of the Apple Weather app, maybe you do too.

On your iPhone, go into the Apple Weather app and make sure that you have a default city set up there. If you don't then add one, and that location will show up in the Apple Watch app and on the weather app on the Apple Watch. That's all I had to do to get mine working.

Same issue. Still can't get it working. Tried adding and deleting cities from Apple Weather App. Resetting iPhone and apple watch. Just spins and never loads the weather. Every other app works fine.

I Couldn't get the weather app either. The location is set But I just get the spinning wheel.

Same problem here. Tried everything from restarting & reseting both devices to selecting default locations in the Apple Watch app on the phone. Nothing helped.

I called Apple Support to see why Weather and Stocks were not working on my watch. They had me unpair the watch, reboot both the watch and the phone and re-pair them again. I had to reconfigure the watch again, but now Weather and Stocks work perfectly.

Did you restore from a backup or start over from scratch? I unpaired and restored from backup with no luck.

I was having trouble with the Weather app, too. Unpaired once and restored the watch from backup and it still didn't work. Then I unpaired again and this time set up the watch from scratch, not from backup, and it worked. Good luck.

I just had the same problem with my new watch and was able to fix it without all the resetting and unsyncing stuff. My fix was to go into the Apple weather app on my iPhone and delete then reload my default city, in this case Chicago. I noticed that in the iPhone weather app all three of the cities I had in there were "stuck" and not loading current data or had corrupted data (It thought Chicago, New York and Cupertino were all midnight and 82º) . I deleted them and when I re-added them they loaded with current data which also then synced back correctly to my watch. It was way easier than a full unsync/restart and it actually worked.

I had this issue this morning with the weather app. I unpaired the watch from my phone and reset the watch back to factory settings and rebooted both the phone and the watch. I paired the phone and was able to select from restore from backup which did not require me to go back into the settings and reset them all to what I originally had set.

I noticed this problem last night. Rather than unpair/reset route, I tried "General > Reset > Reset Sync Data" and everything seems to work fine.
