I just got the apple watch and all the apps seem to work. But the default weather app cannot retrieve any data. I just has the spinning dots. I looked on my phone and the app works and has follow access to my location. The other weather app I loaded works great but of course I can't add a third party app to the watch faces. Any suggestions?

I just had the same problem with my new watch and was able to fix it without all the resetting and unsyncing stuff. My fix was to go into the Apple weather app on my iPhone and delete then reload my default city, in this case Chicago. I noticed that in the iPhone weather app all three of the cities I had in there were "stuck" and not loading current data or had corrupted data (It thought Chicago, New York and Cupertino were all midnight and 82º) . I deleted them and when I re-added them they loaded with current data which also then synced back correctly to my watch. It was way easier than a full unsync/restart and it actually worked.
Did you restore from a backup or start over from scratch? I unpaired and restored from backup with no luck.

I went to General > Reset and the only choice there is "Erase all Content and Settings". I went to the Apple watch app on my phone and found the Reset Sync Data but it won't allow me to select it.
I've an issue a bit different; I'd like to see the weather forecast for the gps position on my watch but there are only the default cities weather forecast.
could you help me to fix that issue ?

One of the options is for your current location, not a city. That works pretty well for me.

I think you haven't understand me ; I'd like to see the weather forecast of the current location on my watch . I've set up that function in the iPhone watch app but without success
This fixed my weather issue; now I hope that sunset and rise times will update too soon.....
How do you "re-boot" the watch??
It happened to me, the iphone app worked fine but the apple watch didn't. Go to the apple watch app>General>Reset>Erase apple watch content and settings
