How long does it take to sync music to apple watch

Don't do this, it took me forever to get my watch paired again and it didn't help with the sync issues.

Thanks to an earlier message on this thread, I was able to fix my problem by unpairing the watch and pairing it again and restoring to a previously saved version. Once you have the data limit set correctly and the watch is on the charger there should be no problem. You also have to designate a playlist that has less then the data limit that you have set.

Here is what worked well and fast for me.

1. Make sure every item on your playlist that you are trying to sync to your watch is actually downloaded and not up in the cloud

2. Make sure you are connected to wifi

3. Make sure both your watch and phone is on their reliable apple approved chargers.

3. Select your playlist.

Mine synced 320 songs in about 20 minutes. Hope this helps!

Restarted watch and it worked perfectly

Thanks, worked for me once I put the watch on the charger.

I had to restart both devices and then it worked. It took a really long time for 18 songs to be synced... about a half hour. I did find it synced faster when my phone was closer to the watch.

OMG. Thank you. This is what the problem was for me. The watch will not sync when it's turned sideways. Why Apple doesn't tell you this is a mystery.
