Haptic not working on Apple watch messages

Haptic works for phone calls but not messages on my Apple Watch sport. Tried a reset, re-pairing, spoke to apple chat and we still couldn't solve the problem. I'm awaiting a call back from an Apple advisor but just wondering if anyone else has the same issues. I have all the settings correctly set because I get a haptic tap for sketches and heartbeats but not messages. Phone calls tap me as well as the person calling showing up on home screen but I get nothing with a text. The texts do appear on the watch but only if I go into messages I'll see them.

Sadly this does nothing for apps like Facebook, local news app, etc.

FIxed it!! Had to go deep into facebook apps 'in app' setting! Click everything on & also go into sound for push settings & choose the top option.

Having the same issue, my mom and I we bought 2 watches, both 42mm. Her watch's haptic is much more stronger than mine.

Haptic was working fine on my Watch (settings to Custom not Mirror iPhone) until I had to do a reset on the Watch for another reason. That's exactly when haptic stopped working for me. Don't have time to try more resets, etc. Annoying problem, because the taps were very useful.

Well, I got haptic back by simply doing another two-button reset. Hope it sticks.

I have the same problem. Since I bought it in May they won't replace the watch at the Apple Store. They are sending it out to repair or replace the watch. The watch cost a lot and I should have gotten a new one since the haptic is having problems.

So I had the same issue, but basically, haptic messages only work when the phone is locked.i Didn't have to do all the reinstalling and restarting and stuff. Just lock the phone

Erase all iPhone Settings (this will not delete your data) and setup phone again. All my problems with Apple Watch and iPhone disappeared.

I have the opposite issue - texts have a haptic and phone calls do not. It has a ringtone
