Charging issues, overheating and battery problem

it seems okay now, but when charging my 38mm sport, it got to about 44%, and stayed there whilst getting quite hot. It then said the charger was an unsupported accessory so I left it unplugged for 5 minutes. It cooled down and then charged to 100% within an hour, is this normal? aren't they supposed to be charged overnight?

I had this twice, the issue stopped once I stopped putting near things that could move it. Seems that if it is bumped while charging the charger is shifted causes it to not charge and heat the watch. the heating still didn't affect the performance of the watch just the charge. Apple needs to figure out a way to stop the shifting of the charging cord from moving off the watch if moved during charging.

I purchased my watch: 38mm Sport-Gray on-July 28th. My buddy got the same model the following day. Noticed that in the morning when I remove my watch from the charger it is defiantly VERY-WARM! My buddy's watch when he removes his from the charger in the morning is COOL AS A CU-CUMBER. Also I noticed that his battery life seems a bit better than mine? Though, I did have more applications running in the backround. I am concerned that OVER-TIME, I will be getting less and less battery life IF the heat issue is NOT resolved?! I have seen many posts saying that the alignment of the charger head has to be perfect??!! But its magnetic and is SUPPOSED to seat and align automatically??!! So I'm at a loss...I do sweat a lot and notice that the back has a lot of residue. I will start wiping both the charger head and the back of the watch before charging and see if that resolves the issue...

When I first got my stainless steel 42mm Apple Watch, the overheating and diminishing battery issue happened once. I called Apple and requested my charger to be swapped out because I read somewhere it is the charger not the watch or battery that's at fault. My replacement charger arrived, I returned the original charger and never had the issue again.
