I am also unable to download anything from the App Store/ iTunes. My Apple ID works on my iPhone 5s but not on my iPad Air 2, both are updatesd to iOS 8.3... I logged out on my iPad and now I can't log back in, I emailed customer support but they basically told me to do what I already did.. Turn it on and off, try to log in and log back out. Guess I will have to take a trip to the Apple Store. *sigh*

I'm also having the same issues as everyone else. This happened a while ago as well, but I had to wait until a new update was available. I can't get any new updates and I can't get the apps to download. I can get rid of them, but can't get them to go back on again. Hope they fix it soon. I went into settings and other areas of the phone trying to fix it without much luck. Waiting on Apple!

Hi everyone,

I had the same problem of not being able to sign into iTunes nor being able to update or download new apps from the App Store on my iPhone 5. This is what I eventually tried in case it helps any of you fix the same problem.

Part of my phone's problem was to do with a pending verification check for the card linked to my iTunes account (which I verified on my laptop via iTunes account settings) and the other part was to do with trying to download/update apps at the same time as my Spotify account was trying to sync a huge number of songs for offline listening!

1. Log into iTunes on your computer or another existing device where you have accessed iTunes / synced your phone on previously.

2. Click on your username drop down menu and go to "Account Info".

3. Enter your password to access settings.

4. Under "Apple ID Summary" click to edit "Payment Information" (where your credit card details go).

5. Check these details are up to date and whether there is an error or validation message in red anywhere on this screen.

- I had a red error message saying that I had accessed iTunes from a new device recently + needed to verify my payment details before making new purchases

- The verification involved re-entering my 3-digit security number

- I ended up updating my credit card details altogether to a new card number

6. Click "Update" to save changes.

7. Try to login to iTunes / App Store from your phone by re-entering your login and password. This should now allow you to login!

8. IF YOU HAVE SPOTIFY: Before updating or downloading any new apps turn your Spotify settings to "Offline Mode"

9. Go back into App Store and click on one of the app updates to test - this should now start to update!

10. If app updates successfully, click "Update All" and it should work fine!!

Good luck!

Alice
