Import from Photos library to Powerpoint

Make sure you Photos Library is setup as the System Photos Library. If it's isn't it won't show in the Media browser:

I also noticed that I still have a folder named iPhoto Library - "Migrated Photo Library". Maybe that is throwing things off??

Have you tried the previously suggested fixes including booting into Safe Mode, Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode, and trying from there?

The first option is always the one you use. What browser is that?

Delete the com.apple.iApps,plist preference file from your Home/Library/Preferences folder, reboot, launch Photos first and then Word. See if that will jump start the media browser.

I looked into what you have about deleting com.apple.iApps,plist preference file from my library and it was not listed.

Does the Media Browser work in other apps - Pages, iMovie, Mail?

The obvious inference from what you report is that you need an updated version of Powerpoint.

I have exactly the same problem. Maddening.

Just tried your suggestion Toad and its still the same. Just photo booth comes up. Very frustrating...I will keep looking for a solution.

Where is your Photos library located? Is it selected as the system library in the Photos preferences? (If the use as system library command is dimmed out then it is the system library_)

Yes it is correctly selected in the Photo preferences and is "greyed out".
