Check Settings>General>Restrictions. See if you have anything restricted. If not, then the App Store is on the phone somewhere. Look on all the pages and in all the folders. If all else fails, go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Homescreen Layout.

"iOS Mac Store app"?

Are you talking about the Apple Store app? Do you mean the iOS App Store? In this latter case, follow Meg's advice. If you mean a place to purchase Macs, then that would be the Apple Store app which you might have to download.

it is the blue with circle A that usually is pre installed on the iPhones, iPods, etc. I went to Restrictions, it in On and i asking for a passcode, which i don't remember ever creating. I've been trying to update my BofA app and it won't update, someone told me it's bcuz the app store icon is missing

Somebody has restricted that phone from using the App Store and blowing a wad of cash. So this is a case of:

  1. You're a kid and your parents have restricted what you can do on the phone they provided, so take it up with them. Or...
  2. You're grown up but your "friends" played a nasty joke by restricting your phone, so take it up with them. Or...
  3. You're a corporate lackey and the company that owns the phone does not want their employees from installing unauthorized stuff on them.

What will it be?

hello, none of these, i am a tech challenged adult 😕 i have this app on my iTouch, but that does me no good to deposit checks into my BA account 😟

Somebody put a restrictions code on the phone. It didn't happen on its own. Either you did it or someone else with access to your phone did it. If you can't find out what the code is, you will have to restore the phone.

ok let me see if i can figure out how to get this code, otherwise i will re set. i recently had to bring my iMac into the Apple store bcuz when i upgraded to yosemite, everything went crazy. they ended up replacing the mother board, hard drive, power supply and a bunch of other 'stuff'. b4 those repairs, i plugged in my iPhone for the 1st time, and it too seemed to act 'weird'. will let u know what happens, thank u for ur help🙂
