Do Not Disturb Chats Still Show Up on Apple Watch

Yup, I'm still having this issue and I'm running latest and greatest watchOS 3.0

Apple - Please fix this so the Apple Watch mirrors the DND settings on message strings.

This still exists as of today on watch os3.1, and this really is killing me. I have a group of friends where the group message can be useful at times, and at others they go off on texting sprees of 500 in a day. The update fixed iMessage issues but missed this. Please patch this, as a 3.1.1, i don't want to wait months for this. I currently have to de-sync texts from apple watch, which is a feature i love.

Im loosing hope this will ever be fixed. I can't believe it's been overlooked for so long...... Ill keep filing bug reports, hopefully someone will do something with them

Did you ever get a response from Apple? I have the same issue with a group SMS

I know this is an old thread but for people who were still having this issue like I was, I spoke to an Apple support tech and she guided me through the steps to fix it. All you have to do is un-pair the watch from the phone, let it reboot or manually reboot it if it doesn't automatically, and then re-pair the watch. I can't say if this will 100% fix the issue or if the solution is only temporary but so far it's working flawlessly. Hope this helps.

Does it work with new group chats? I've found that when a new one starts it then comes to My watch even if I put it to DND right away

Haven't actually tried it with new group chats but it solved the problem for all my previous groups.

Fixed it!!!

Delete the thread from your phone and your watch. Once the thread come back in click the do not disturb. Worked for me.

Agreed. I have to silence my Apple Watch completely (Do Not Disturb) to avoid the issue.
